Be one of the hundreds of young professionals acting on their commitment to build a more equitable, socially conscious and fraternal society in the Americas.
What are the traits of an AS volunteer?
An AS Volunteer is someone who is fed up with injustice and inequality, but who believes that with determination and optimism change is possible. Volunteers choose to use their technical and personal skills to serve others.
1.- Volunteers direct and work on social projects that are vital to the community where they serve. They are team players and forge strong bonds with all involved.
2.- Volunteers are the voice of our cause. They raise awareness by communicating the struggles and beauty they witness among those they are serving.
3.- Volunteers are noted for their professionalism, work and volunteer experience and involvement in social issues. They are prepared for the challenges that long-term international volunteers face.
4.- Volunteers are always proactive and persevere when faced with a challenge. They understand that service to others requires tolerance and a positive attitude when dealing with obstacles as well as an ability to be continually amazed by each success.
5.- Volunteers understand that there is great value in diversity and collaboration. Therefore, a commitment to multiculturalism and integration is vital to their professional and personal development.
We ensure that the work carried out by our volunteers and everyone at America Solidarity is of the highest possible quality.
